Update: Please visit our Poetry on Tap photoset on Flickr for photos from the glittery, Christmassy afternoon and read the recap. See you at the next one! (That’s Sunday, 17 Jan, 2pm at the Promised Land.)

This very exciting event took place at 2pm on Sunday, 13th December and featured poets LLOYD ROBSON and AMY WACK.

LLOYD ROBSON is the author of BBBoing and Associated Weirdness and Oh Dad! A Search for Robert Mitchum. He divides his time between Cardiff and New York, and leads a creative writing project in Sömmerda, Germany, every July.

AMY WACK grew up in southern California but now lives in Cardiff, working as Seren Press’s Poetry Editor. She recently co-edited Women’s Work: Modern Women Poets Writing in English.

Poetry on Tap takes place on a laid-back Sunday afternoon right in the middle of Cardiff, upstairs at The Promised Land on Windsor Place, just off Queen Street.

There will also be an open mic section for all aspiring poets. Come and read in our lovely, loft-like venue, or simply relax with a beer and hear the words flow!

Bring your friends and come join us for another fun Sunday!

£4 entry or £2 for open mic readers

Supported by Academi

December’s open mic prizes generously donated by Square Magazine

and The Raconteur.

Recent mentions:

Poetry on Tap is Cardiff’s newest monthly poetry and spoken word series, co-curated by Ivy Alvarez and Mab Jones. It provides a showcase for electric experimentation and lively risk-taking through poetry, with exciting and uncommon pairings between poets and spoken word artists.
