Update: Please visit our Poetry on Tap photoset for photos from the lovely Valentine’s Day afternoon and read the recap!
This romantic/poet-tastic event took place on Sunday, 14th February, 2pm at The Promised Land (Windsor Place, Cardiff) and featured poets CLARE POTTER and DUNCAN McGIBBON.
CLARE POTTER is the author of Spilling Histories (Cinnamon Press), a poetry collection inspired by the aftermath of the New Orleans disaster. Brought up in Blackwood, South Wales, she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with an MA in Afro–Caribbean literature and lived in New Orleans for ten years.
DUNCAN McGIBBON is the author of The Consolations (Mulfran Press), a poetry collection that journeys from Our Lady of Geneva to the heart of the poet’s family. Born in Greenock, Scotland, he has lived and worked in Geneva, commuting between his British and Swiss Poet’s Workshops, until moving to Bath in 2009.
There will also be an open mic section for aspiring and established poets [limited number of places, so be quick!]. Come and read in our lovely, loft-like venue, or simply relax with a beer and hear the words flow! Bring your friends and come join us for another fun Sunday soon.
£4 entry or £2 for open mic readers
Supported by Academi
